Portland District Health (PDH) is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Consultant Physician to join its team of specialists.
PDH provides an integrated health service to its primary catchment population of some 20,000 in south-west Victoria's Glenelg Shire and beyond. The service comprises acute, primary health and aged care. Its facilities include 69 inpatient beds, two operating theatres, an eight-bed day procedure unit, a dialysis unit, a chemotherapy day stay facility and a visiting specialist centre with 18 consultation rooms and two medical treatment rooms. The co-located GP "Superclinic" (Active Health Portland) complements PDH's services.
You must have registration with the Medical Board of Australia/Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and specialist experience in delivering General Internal Medicine services. A sub-specialty interest would be welcome, but is not a requirement.
Portland is located in south-west Victoria, between Melbourne and Adelaide. There are daily return flights to Melbourne. Stretching around its deep-water port, Portland marries charming coastal life with the serenity of national parks, spectacular seaside scenery and the facilities of a small city.
