Clinical Nurse Educator - Orthopaedic/Neurology Employment Type: Temporary Part Time up to 30/06/2019 Position Classification: Clinical Nurse Educator Remuneration: 92877.85 - 95893.78 Hours Per Week: 22 Requisition ID: REQ53017 An opportunity has arisen for a nurse who is interested in education to become part of the dynamic team on C2S that cares for patients with neurological/orthopaedic conditions. Educational support and career opportunity development provided. Tracheostomy/EVD trained nurses is a desirable skill. The position is a job share role and is 22 hours per week working Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. What you'll be doing The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) will be responsible for the delivery and evaluation of clinical nursing education. The CNE will work in collaboration with the Nursing Unit Manager (NUM) and Nurse Educator (NE) and wider hospital team to develop and implement clinical education relevant to specialities and basic nursing competencies. The CNE will work collaboratively to support clinical education to others outside the ward/ unit when required. Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Relevant clinical or education post registration qualifications or such education and clinical experience deemed appropriate by the employer Demonstrated effective clinical teaching skills Demonstrated commitment to clinical and professional development Demonstrated advanced written, verbal and interpersonal skills Knowledge and understanding of NSQHS Standards relating to education Knowledge of adult learning principles SCHN is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourage all suitably qualified applicants to apply, including Indigenous Australians, and people from culturally diverse backgrounds.
