Supported Introduction to Paediatric Program
The SIPP is a 12 months program that includes structured learning activities and support through mentoring as well as ongoing clinical supervision. The SIPP is designed to provide foundational knowledge and skills in paediatric nursing to registered nurses who are new to the specialty of paediatrics.
Nursing in an acute paediatric environment is complex and requires high level skills, knowledge and attributes. The program is designed to facilitate the expansion of core general nursing knowledge and clinical practice skills as they apply to the paediatric setting.
Through the theoretical clinical development and supported clinical experience outline in this program, nursing staff without prior paediatric nursing experience will transition competently and confidently to the role of paediatric nurse.
We're Australia's largest paediatric health service network and a world-class research institution.
Be part of a caring team that aims to provide the best care and service to children in NSW while supporting staff to develop within healthy, rewarding workplaces.
