Salary: Remuneration package of up to $84,276 p.a., comprising salary range of $67,008 - $73,864 p.a., (OO5), recreational leave loading (17.5%), and employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%).

The North West Hospital and Health Service covers an area of over 300,000 square kilometres and services the rural and remote communities within North Western Queensland and the Gulf of Carpentaria. The Health Service includes the City of Mount Isa and the towns and areas of Burketown, Camooweal, Cloncurry, Dajarra, Doomadgee, Julia Creek, Karumba, Normanton and Mornington Island.
About the Role
- Support the Senior Dentist in ensuring Oral Health Services Key Performance Indicators are met in line with the North West Hospital and Health Service Strategic Plan, Clinical Services Operational Plan and objectives and outcomes of service agreements. This will involve auditing, reporting and advisory functions.
- Provide leadership to ensure the maintenance of appropriate standards of Dental Assistants, which demonstrates a commitment to excellence in service provision.
- Actively contribute to the continuous improvement and upgrade of the quality of work standards and practices of dental assistants.
Requirements
- Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent is a mandatory requirement
- While not mandatory. Certificate III in Sterilising and Certificate IV in Dental Assisting would be well regarded
