The Position
St John of God Health Choices, a home nursing Division of St John of God Health Care, is responsible for delivering a range of acute services, including Hospital in the Home – HITH and post-acute care, to both public and privately funded patients in the comfort of their home.
Our Melbourne Division is currently seeking enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurses to join our friendly team in our North and West locations.
Our patient group includes post surgical and medical care, complex wound management and the delivery of infusion services. The ability to work independently, to plan and deliver excellent clinical care is essential, as is the ability to travel throughout the metropolitan region as required.
The position may be required to rotate through a 7 day roster, with flexible shifts between the operating hours of 0700 – 1800hrs, no night duty rotations!
The successful candidate will have:
- Ability to work within and contribute to the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum 3 years post graduate experience in acute nursing.
- Current Victorian Driver’s License
- Excellence communication and critical thinking skills
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Ability to work both independently, and as part of the multidisciplinary care team.
- Flexibility with availability and rostering to meet the changing needs of our patient group
- Current IV cannulation certification and experience
- Complex Wound Management experience
