Work for Australia’s leading provider of high quality mental health assessment and clinical counselling services for the Australian veteran community and their families. Clients include individuals, couples and families requiring a diverse and interesting range of mental health support services. Your duties will include but not limited to:
- Participation in program evaluation and research activities, contributing to project management activities that implement strategic directions and quality improvement recommendations, and provide feedback for ongoing development of clinical policies and procedures
- Provision of high quality clinical services including initial intake, assessment and referral, evidence-based individual, couple and family counselling, and case management to eligible clients in order to achieve outcomes identified in care planning processes
- Contribution to the development and delivery of group programs as required
- Maintaining clinical records according to standards, collating and analysing data from client records, and preparing reports as required to assist in evaluating and improving service delivery
- Liaising and forming partnerships within to department, other government departments, ex-service organisations, community health and welfare agencies, and all other organisations involved in meeting the identified needs of veteran and defence force communities and families
- Participation in and contribution to ongoing learning and development activities and maintenance of professional status
- Participation in community development and service promotion activities as required.
Who we’re looking for:
- Passionate, flexible and professional clinicians who enjoy making a difference and have recognised qualifications and experience as either Psychologists or Social Workers.
- Psychologists – must have a relevant degree, have full and unrestricted registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA), and have at least 3 years clinical experience as a Registered Psychologist.
- Social Workers – must have a relevant degree, be eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), have appropriate post-graduate clinical experience, and have accreditation as a Mental Health Social Worker.
Both psychologists and mental health social workers must have extensive clinical and relevant management experience.
