About the role

Provide Scientific and Technical support within the Product Team for the development of Consumer Goods for both the Australian and Global markets which are manufactured within the scope of the:

  1. TGA OTC and Complementary Medicines Branch for Complementary Medicines
  2. Food Standards Australia for Food products
  3. Cosmeceutical Guidelines for Skincare products
  • Providing input for NPD including: Research and Product Development, claims and evidence substantiations and product formulating
  • Providing advice on the compliance of TGA and preparation for TGA audits.
  • Maintaining regulatory compliance of all products including product specifications, promotional material, marketing and web content
  • Obtaining advertising approval through assessment bodies under the Therapeutic Goods Adverting Code (TGAC) – Complementary Medicines Australia (CMA) and Australian Self Medication Industry Association (ASMI)
  • Liaising with manufacturers and suppliers regarding Manufacturing, QC and GMP concerns

Skills and experience

  • Minimum of 5 years' work experience within a Complementary Medicines arena ideally accompanied by an exposure to Cosmeceutical Skincare is preferable.
  • Degree in Science, Naturopathy, Business Science or related discipline is preferred.
  • Have an understanding and working knowledge of Australian TGA requirements in the areas of Complimentary Medicine and possess prior industry, technical writing and evidence research experience.
  • Excellent communication skills with manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Have a proactive approach, work both autonomously and as part of a dynamic team
  • Advanced project management skills with the ability to maintain a high standard of attention to detail
  • Australian resident with unlimited working rights within Australia, no overseas applicants.
