Senior Clinician- Psychologist (P3), Occupational Therapist (OT3). Social Worker (SW3), Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN4), Brief Intervention Team, Adult Mental Health 

 

Full time short term contract position - to 23/9/18. Primarily based at Box Hill.

The Brief Intervention Team (BIT) is seeking an experienced Senior Clinician to provide comprehensive assessment, intervention and community linkage of the identified client group for a time limited episode of recovery. The senior clinician will work in close collaboration with the multidisciplinary team and also with the person and their identified carers and recovery supports.

 

 To be successful in this role you should possess: 

 

  • Qualifications and experience as a Clinical Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker or Registered Nurse as specified in the position description
  • Extensive clinical experience in the mental health field, with particular emphasis on rehabilitation and recovery in the community for adults.
  • Extensive experience with recovery-oriented practice with consumers experiencing severe and enduring mental illness including skills in assessment, crisis intervention, counselling, relapse prevention and psychosocial recovery
  • Demonstrated ability to lead the ongoing implementation of the Collaborative Recovery Model / framework for practice within clinical teams. 
  • Understanding and experience in brief solution focused therapies.
  • Advanced interpersonal, communication and networking skills.
  • Proficient written and computer literacy skills
  • Demonstrated ability to provide clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary team and experience in staff supervision and program co-ordination.
  • Broad based knowledge of current relevant professional issues and mental health and a good understanding of health care systems and future trends
  • Is innovative, resourceful and adaptive to change
