About the Role
The QEII Staff Geriatrician will ensure the provision of high quality clinical care to patients requiring inpatient, outpatient and domiciliary services through the Department of Medicine, QEII Hospital. They will be responsible for direct clinical care and clinical leadership in a multidisciplinary environment. A component of this role is participation in the acute care at home (HITH) service. Participation in the afterhours on call roster is also required.
- Provide quality direct and indirect clinical care to patients, in accordance with the best interests of those patients.
- Contribute to strategic planning for the service including clinical service delivery, service development, education, training and research.
- Assist the Director in providing opportunities for professional education and training for medical staff, medical students, nurses and allied health colleagues.
