The Role
This presents an unparalleled opportunity for an experienced SHEQ advisor to join a progressive and expanding business within a global organisation.
In this position you will support the safety function on numerous sites and work with site managers to improve SHEQ outcomes. You will be supported by a broader safety network of experts with established guidelines, but also the ability to make your mark. This role will require substantial travel to outer metropolitan & regional locations. Reporting to the SHEQ Manager, you will be exposed to a fast paced work environment and will be expected to maintain strong working relationships both internally and externally. This dynamic role will allow you to build and develop your career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit and support operational management with the implementation of SHEQ systems
  • Assist in the development of SHEQ management plans, procedures and other tools
  • Provide superior SHEQ coaching & mentoring to managers, supervisors, HSR’s and employees 
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide timely SHEQ reporting and data 
  • Lead incident investigations (ICAM)

To be successful in this role you will have:
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role in heavy industry
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Advanced computer, literacy & numeracy skills
  • Advanced understanding of OHS legislation, standards & codes of practices 
  • Demonstrated experience in auditing, implementing & developing SHE management plans & procedures
  • Demonstrated experience in providing influential advice to site teams 
Required Qualifications:
  • Diploma in OHS/WHS
  • Cert IV TAA/TAE
  • Formal Training as an ICAM (or TapRoot) investigator
  • Formal Training in auditing
