Bupa Medical Visa Services provides health assessments in a professional, caring and respectful way. Our main service is the provision of visa and migration medical services to the Department of Home Affairs (Home Affairs). This includes the provision of on-shore immigration medical examinations through Bupa centres and a network of partner centres nationally.

About the Opportunity:

Bupa Medical Visa Services in Sydney CBD have a 0.6FTE vacancy for a Lead Physician to join the team. This is a Maternity Leave Cover position for 9mths, working 3 days a week on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays, 22.8 hours per week (The position may get extended to 12mths). The position is starting on Monday 20th August.

This is a key Bupa leadership role delivering exceptional performance, ensuring Bupa is loved by customers (including DIBP) and employees love working at Bupa. This role reports directly to the Centre Manager.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities:

• Support the operations and clinical governance of the centre by providing clinical expertise and support to the Centre Manager and the Panel Physician workforce
• Contribute to the delivery of a service recognised for its exceptional customer experience, outstanding client outcomes and highest level of clinical safety and quality
• Manage the panel physician workforce in the centre and provide the link to the national BMVS medical network
• Provide clinical expertise to the centre manager and centre staff, and facilitate operational communication with the physician workforce

Your Background and Ideal experience:

You will be inspired and driven by the opportunity to work with a global leader in health care and have:

• Strong leadership skills and exposure to people management within health profession
• Extensive relevant clinical experience and expertise in Immigration Health
• Expert knowledge of legislative and regulatory environments in health, particularly in the Immigration area.
• A reputation for effective and timely delivery and making things happen.
• General Registration with AHPRA as a Medical Practitioner
