Tinonee Gardens is a leading residential aged care facility offering compassionate care for older people in a welcoming and inclusive community. We cater for the unique needs of our community of 159 residents from culturally & linguistically diverse backgrounds.
About the role:
We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our Catering team, based in Waratah. As a Kitchen Assistant you will work closely with the Catering Team assisting to provide residents with quality food products and services. As part of your role your duties will include assisting in food preparation, cleaning, stock control, meal dispatch and transportation, house servery and meal service.
Our current vacancies would particularly suit candidates who are available and flexible to work a spread of hours and shifts including weekends. The role may move towards a permanent part time position for the right person.
What are we looking for?
- Focus on customer service and satisfaction of our residents
- Competent in HACCP/ Vulnerable Persons Food Legislation
- Commitment to quality meal production
- Experience in fresh/ cook preparation
- Experience in an aged care facility kitchen
- Knowledge of Infection Control, Work Health and Safety and Manual Handling
- Ability to work within a team and work together to meet deadlines
- Drivers Licence
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Preparedness to undertake Certificate III in Hospitality
