Based in North Ryde, we are an independent distributor and integrator of CAD/CAM dental solutions and dental lasers. We offer technical support for a portfolio of leading international CAD/CAM platforms to dental laboratories, clinics and manufacturers.
The Role: Digital Dentistry Support Specialist
This position provides technical support to dental clinics and labs while helping to maintain Dental Axess’ position as the industry standard for technical service. It makes a strong contribution to overall customer satisfaction. The role requires excellent communication skills, sound dental knowledge most likely gained in a dental lab, and the desire to exceed customer expectations.
Candidate Profile:
The applicant must:
- Be technically minded and capable of clearly communicating both dental and technical information surrounding digital CAD/CAM workflows to customers with a wide range of expertise;
- Have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude;
- Enjoy assisting customers with their daily applications of dental CAD/CAM, finding solutions, and developing infrastructure for the implementation of systems internally and externally; and
- Thrive in a busy environment where multitasking is required.
Professional Requirements:
- Education qualifications in a relevant area of dentistry, eg. as a dental lab technician
- Understanding of dental imaging, systems and process
- Previous use and operation of CAD/CAM software as a dental technician or in another relevant business context
- Ability to troubleshoot complex systems & evaluate process problems by phone and in the field (in both dental clinic and laboratory environments)
- Have the ability to efficiently plan customer visits and follow ups
- Willing to travel and work independently
- Valid driver's license
Desirable:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, networking and implementing client-server installations
- Familiarity with vendor solutions from 3Shape, Roland, Formlabs, Structo3D
- Experience in customer service
Primary Areas of Responsibility:
- Technical support via online sessions, telephone, e-mail and on-site customer visits (clinics & labs)
- Integration of the full digital dental workflow as developed by Dental Axess
- Case management: logging, prioritization, trouble shooting, closing & follow up of service issues
- Installation and training of end users on CAD/CAM systems
