About the role

An opportunity has become available for an experienced Pharmacy Technician with efficient dispensing and puchasing skills to be part of our highly skilled team at Victorian Rehabilitation Centre in Glen Waverley.

This part time 3 months contract role will require you to work from 9am to 3:30pm Monday to Wednesday. This position is available for immediate start.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense medications in line with legal and professional requirements, under the direction of a Pharmacist
• Maintain hospital ward imprest stock
• Ensure that stock is available in the pharmacy to meet supply needs through effective purchasing of preferred brands from agreed list of vendors
• Assist the Pharmacist prepare medication lists to facilitate medication management
• Attend to customers and clients at the counter
• Delivery of medications to wards
• General pharmacy duties

You must have

• A can-do attitude and team focus
• Dispensary and purchasing experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail and precision in record keeping
• Demonstrated experience working in fast paced environment
• Driver's licence and a reliable car
