Your new company
A fantastic and unique temporary opportunity has arisen in a well recognized Council for a suitably qualified and experienced Fleet Manager. This role is an immediate requirement for an initial 3 month period and has a chance of extension/permanent opportunity.
Your new role
The Fleet Coordinator will be required to utilise Council's fleet management software
authority to calculate utilisation, calculate whole of life costs, prepare buy/hire business case
reports, make recommendations to fund the fleet, conduct the tender process for procurement and
disposals, manage the mechanical maintenance of the fleet (inhouse and outsourcing), ensure
regulatory compliance of the fleet such as Chain of Responsibility, Work Health and Safety and
National Heavy Vehicle Regulations.
What you'll need to succeed
Considerable fleet management experience (sourcing, acquisition, maintenance, repair and disposal) within a large organisation. Experience working with computer based Fleet Management Asset procurement systems, managing fleet contracts, stakeholders and suppliers in a large organisation. Sound knowledge of the technical aspects of vehicles, plant and equipment assets used by large infrastructure organisations. Knowledge of the regulations governing the modification, operation and use of those assets (inspection, certification and licensing).
