Senior Project Officer - VPS6 equivalent
Approx. 6 month contract
The role:
A Senior Project Officer is required to establish a new Vic Gov Office. This role will involve working with other heads of states and various departments on community issues happening near the state border (e.g. improving police and ambulance services, and electrician services), and to reduce barriers and costs.
Key responsibilities:
- Getting Cabinet approval for governance process of office
- Recruitment of staff
- Establish the office and setting things up for the Commissioner
Key skills:
- Strong project management skills and can work to a project plan
- Prior government experience and experience managing Cabinet processes
- Experience with establishing a new office in government is highly favourable
- As a VPS6 level employee - be able to work independently and engage with various stakeholders in different departments
- Experience in preparing briefs, submissions, and presentations, etc.The position will have some staff support.
