Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage an APS4 Policy Officer. This position is located in their busy Canberra office with an initial 3 month contract.
  
About the Role 
You will be part of a team responsible for the provision of coordinated input to drive policy and strategy development. You will provide comprehensive policy advice and be able to respond quickly to competing priorities as they emerge. The Federal Government Agency seeking enthusiastic, diligent and high performing individuals across all backgrounds who have excellent writing, conceptual and analytical skills. 

  
Requirements/Skills

• Experience/or qualifications in social or economic policy or program delivery 
• Proven ability to interpret government and agency policies and direction, to communicate this to staff to ensure that work occurs in line with these directions.
• Analytical skills and ability to develop and maintain strong relationships  both with internal and external stakeholders 
• Have the ability to work in a sensitive team environment and may work on overarching policy development
