This role is offered on a Permanent Full Time basis

You duties will include:

Investigating and carrying out surveys on Traffic, pedestrian and intersection activity
Investigating traffic related complaints and community enquiries.
Traffic control during traffic surveys.
Managing Council's traffic survey data.
Inspecting and arranging maintenance of road signs, road markings and street lighting
Issuing and follow up of maintenance works instructions for road signs and markings.
Preparation of Works Instructions following Canterbury Bankstown Traffic Committee and Council approval.
Other field inspections and actions as and when required.

You will have:

Current C Class drivers’ licence
RMS Traffic Controller Certificate
Knowledge of the Road Rules, RMS and Australian Standards as it relates to regulatory traffic signs and road markings.
A demonstrated ability to interpret contract documents, specifications and drawings
An ability to identify defects and appropriate solutions including a working knowledge of factors affecting asset condition, preventative measures and remedial treatments
Good Verbal and written communication skills.
Good data entry, record keeping and report writing skills
Sound knowledge, understanding and application of WHS requirements

This position requires a Pre-Placement Health Assessment in the interest of providing a safe and healthy workplace. The medical will take place at one of Council's chosen providers and will be conducted at Council's expense.
