Permanent full time - 38 hours per week

Are you a hard worker with labouring experience looking for a permanent position? Do you have experience working in concreting? Don’t miss out on this excellent opportunity to join our Infrastructure Works team.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Concrete Labourer to carry out construction and maintenance of Council’s civil infrastructure, including road pavements, kerb and gutter, footpaths, drainage, sea walls and pit construction. You will undertake general formwork to paths, kerbs and gutter, driveways and drainage pits as well as road maintenance type patching.
This role will also be responsible for operating minor plant associated with infrastructure construction, such as compactor plates, jackhammers and concrete saws. You will carry out a variety of tasks that include manual handling and the use of hand tools including shovels, hammers and crowbars.
Strong attention to detail will be required to finish concrete to a high standard including screeding, floating, trowelling and edging using a variety of finishes.
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Current C Class Drivers Licence
- Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Traffic Control Certificate – Blue
- Demonstrated experience working in a civil construction/maintenance environment
