Exciting opportunity now exists for an immediate Property Officer to join Inner City Council. Attractive Rate and flexible hours available
Your new company
Due to major population growth and infrastructure demands, a local Council is seeking a Property Officer to undertake a strategic assessment of major precincts, provide Council with property advice, and undertake property assessments, right of ways and road discontinuances. You will have previous Council experience and be able to hit the ground running in this initial 3 month role. Applicants with previous Council experience will only be considered.
Your new role
Reporting to the Property Manager, you will be required to:
- Assist in the management of property assets, providing advice where necessary
- Undertake strategic assessment of user groups and how to maximise property space
- Engage in right of ways, road discontinuances, acquisitions
- Prepare licenses, briefs, and schedules
- Record and maintain property databases and council records
What you’ll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Tertiary qualifications in property or related field or experience in property administration
- Demonstrated experience in property database management
- Working knowledge of Crown land legislations
- Understanding of Council policy is desirable
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
