Wagga Wagga City Council is seeking a dynamic and motivated team player to be part of our Social planning Team.
- Remuneration package of $69,856.28 + superannuation.
Your new role:
The position will work strategically with key community stakeholders including council, police, education and non-government organisations working with youth, to develop community development initiatives in line with Council's Community Strategic Plan and identified community needs. The Youth Development Officer also manages and delivers major programs, projects and events targeting young people, to increase youth participation and improve community wide outcomes.
What you will need to succeed:
We are looking for someone with:
- Enthusiasm and a great attitude
- Tertiary qualifications in youth related community development or related discipline
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Commitment to continuous improvement
- Experience with social media and web based platforms
