Our local council client based on the upper north shore of sydney is looking to engage an experienced Bushland Field Officer to join their Bush Regeneration team on an ongoing basis.
Your duties will include but not limited to:
- Bush regeneration
- Seed collection
- Environmental monitoring
- Feral animal control
- Operating power tools and maintenance tools
- Weed control
- Tree removal
Ideally you will have:
- Appropriate qualifications relevant to conservation and land management, horticulture or demonstrated field experience
- Current C class drivers license
- It would be an asset if you possess a Chem Cert (AQF3)
- Chainsaw tickets / qualifications or willingness to obtain
- Ability to identify plants
- Ability to work within a team to meet deadlines
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Most importantly - a great attitude, good work ethic and passion to work with and conserve the environment
