Reporting to the Assistant Director you will be providing advice on technical and engineering issues, risks and trends impacting on the Health and Human Services assets.

This Government authority is responsible for developing specific service plans, development and delivery of hospital building projects and building related policy and standards., The authority leads state wide planning, system, design across the health industry.
Description
The Building Services manager is responsible for providing advice to the Authority on emerging technical and engineering issues, risks and trends impacting on the health and human services asset portfolio.
A key aspect of this role is developing and implementing asset strategies, policies and guidelines to address infrastructure issues.
Weekly site meetings and inspections combined with responding to queries from site, and co-ordination of the team to assist as required.
Main point of contact for all contractor, client and project manager queries.
Major involvement in commissioning of the project, with special attention paid to operating rooms, radiology suites, central sterilising department and other clinical spaces.
Observation of all building services trades.
End to end testing of the complete systems, connection of the new building into the existing site systems
Commissioning all trades including: fire protection, plumbing and drainage, HVAC, BMS, medical gases and electrical (HV and LV, UPS’s and load shedding systems).
Must have experience with Hospital Building services experience
Profile
You will be a principle leader, managing the Mechanical Building Services of hospitals
Project, legal and risk management
Contract evaluation, administration and management;
Contract and negotiation with clients, contractors, authorities and stakeholders;
Conceptual and detail design;
Monitoring quality of documentation through peer reviews, verification and checking;
Planning and resource allocation for project delivery to meet delivery timeframes;
Business growth, financial reporting, strategic planning, increasing profitability;
Presentations and technical training.
You will have or be part of an Engineers Australia or Hospital Engineers Association.
Must have experience with Hospital Building services experience
