Located in Canberra City, our client is a Federal Government Department who plays a pivotal role in administering national policies and programs, in shaping Australia's future. Currently, they are seeking an APS4 Debt Recovery Officer to join their team on a temporary basis. These temporary labour hire contracts will range from 6 to 12 months.
As an APS4 Debt Recovery Officer, you will undertake routine tasks to support the day to day operations of the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Update, revise and maintain various registers
- Analyse and manipulate data sets to meet reporting requirements
- Cross reference data between registers (some registers on a SharePoint environment)
- Produce correspondence draft quick responses to written requests
- Escalate related cases that require recovery action
- Initiate and document a process map for the ‘debt recovery’ function, while working closely with a project lead
- Undertake administrative functions, including: inbox management, risk management and in-coming calls from debtors
About the successful candidate
As an experienced Debt Recovery Officer, you will possess an understanding of debt collection or financial accounting. The ability to manipulate data and a strong understanding and experience of Excel, SharePoint and Access will be highly regarded.
A current Baseline security clearance is desirable.
