The Institute of Public Administration Australia (Victoria) (IPAA Victoria), is the not-for-profit professional association for public sector professionals across all three levels of government in Victoria; as well as those in the community, tertiary education and corporate sectors who work with the public sector. IPAA Victoria is a thought leader on the evolution of the public sector - and public expectations - in a time of rapid technological, social and other changes. IPAA Victoria designs and delivers innovative professional development programs and events, administers awards and provides high-level networking opportunities across government, while instilling values of leadership, innovation, integrity, client focus and continuous improvement.
The Manager Policy and Evaluation will have responsibility for understanding the public sector ecosystem and market competitors, predicting industry trends and identifying opportunities to enrich IPAA Victoria’s offerings. The Manager will also evaluate IPAA Victoria’s programs, events, and other offerings. Furthermore, the Manager will develop and implement a research plan to build public policy and research capability and closer connections between academics and public sector practitioners including identifying opportunities for applied research relevant to our members’ needs.
To be successful in this role you will have a proven background in policy development and evaluation within the public sector. You demonstrate a strong understanding of the public sector ecosystem where you understand the different levels of government and their mechanisms. You have experience formulating strategic policies and identifying industry trends. You are able to consider your organisation from a holistic perspective and have proven experience embedding greater efficiencies.
