The role:  
As a Project Manager within the SCUH Program, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the definition, documentation and successful completion of large scale projects in line with Queensland Health project management methodologies. You will also oversee and manage the monitoring and reporting of project related trends and performance against project plans and schedules.

A key part of the Project Manager role will involve initiating, influencing and maintaining effective professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders through lessons learned, feedback mechanisms, management of expectations and effective communication.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Promoting and ensuring the use of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies and tools, including benefits realisation and risk and issue management, to ensure quality project outcomes are delivered
  • Managing project resources, expenses and capital costs against project forecasts
  • Manage capability and resource development by leading and mentoring multi-disciplinary project teams.

Are you right for this role?
To be successful in this role, you will have extensive experience in the delivery of large scale and complex IM/ICT projects, preferably in the health care industry. You will possess a high level of expertise and knowledge of appropriate project management methodologies, preferably Prince 2, and the ability to provide expert advice on the use of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies and tools.

The successful candidate will possess a high level of negotiation and consultation skills as well as effective written and oral communication skills. This will enhance your proven stakeholder management skills to support effective business change, including the ability to initiate, influence and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders. Additionally, you will have proven analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills as well as experience in leading, managing and mentoring an effective multi-disciplinary team.

About Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH) Program - eHealth Queensland:
eHealth Queensland have been commissioned to provide the eHealth services necessary for the Sunshine Coast University Hospital Stage 2 expansion including configuration and deployment of end user computing (PCs, WOWs, printers, desktop applications).
