About the Role
The role provides high level clinical leadership for the Queensland Tissue Banks. The Donation Manager is responsible for managing specialised clinical services and for the provision of professional leadership to facilitate the donation and recovery of human tissue (including ocular, musculoskeletal, skin and cardiovascular) and the provision of safe, high quality tissue to internal and external customers of Queensland Health. The role manages the donor assessment, consent, tissue recovery and tissue allocation procedures to ensure continuous quality improvement and service delivery outcomes.
- Develop, review and maintain procedures related to donor assessment, consent, tissue recovery and tissue allocation in response to emerging issues, new technologies and changing legislative, regulatory and professional standards for use at local, state and national levels and aligning with the strategic direction of the Queensland Tissue Banks.
- Identify, investigate, resolve and review identified incidents, complaints, feedback or barriers to effective donor assessment, consent, tissue recovery procedures and customer service delivery.
