Hays are seeking experienced Local Laws Officers to join a vibrant Local Council. Flexible start date.
Your new company

Your new role
There is a requirement for a suitably experienced Local Laws Officer to assist the team, with a focus on general Local Laws. You will be:
- investigating issues including over-hanging vegetation, unsightly properties and abandoned vehicles
- following-up and issuing notices to comply and infringements when required
- looking after the lighter animal management tasks such as: collections, barking dogs and complaints.
What you'll need to succeed
Having worked for a Council in a Local Laws role, you will be able to demonstrate your knowledge and expertise in relation to Council's Local Laws. You will possess:
- excellent communication skills - both oral and written and will able to able to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders in a confident and professional manner
- Desirable: You will either 1+ years experience animal control or animal welfare officer or have completed a cert IV in animal management and regulations or Local Government (animal management) or equivalent.
