It is an exciting time to join the Transport Infrastructure and Services team as we help to deliver a modern dynamic and safe transport network. We are currently delivering a program of work that will revolutionise the way we travel around the NSW Community. Within TfNSW, our Infrastructure & Services (I&S) group provides integrated end-to-end planning, development, delivery of transport assets, and operations of transport services that our customers value. We transform strategy into seamless transport networks and services, efficiently and effectively.
The Opportunity
We have a temporary opportunity for a Senior Contracts Officer to be a part of our Southern Delivery Office team within Transport for NSW. This role plays a key part in making NSW a better place to live, work and visit.
The primary purpose of the role is to contribute to the overall customer experience by providing assistance and support in the procurement, contract development & management for transport services. This position will play a key role in the development, negotiation and ongoing contract management and governance of the services contracts for the provision of transport services that form part of an integrated, safe, reliable, customer-focused and efficient service that meets the needs of stakeholders. You will ensure that the relevant stakeholders comply with their contractual obligations, including performance standards, to provide cost effective and efficient services.
In this role you will have the opportunity to establish systems, processes and tools to help us track key activities within the program, so this role is suited to someone who has experience in preparing analysis, accurate and timely advice, information and reports on any performance management or contractual matters, including highlighting any trends, forecasts or risks that require management action, and can recommend strategic solutions.
Reporting to the Contracts Manager Murray ? Murrumbidgee, we are looking for a hardworking and proactive individual who has the capability to provide regular updates on key projects, issues and priorities and have experience in developing strong relationships and collaborate to facilitate strategic decision making.

Essential requirements
- Relevant qualifications in procurement, law, commerce, business or economics and/or equivalent industry experience
- Proven knowledge and experience in contract development, negotiation, governance and management, preferably in a transport environment
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of commercial and contract law, and public sector statutory requirements
- Hold a current NSW Driver?s licence and be prepared to regularly travel throughout the region
