- Initial 6 months with 3 month extension option.
- Canberra based federal Government role.
About the Role
Satellite Engineers will be accountable, under the direction of the Project Director, Project Manager, Chief Engineer and Engineering Manager, to undertake complex to very complex engineering activities related to SATCOM systems within a framework of legislation, regulations, established principles, work practices and procedures in accordance with project objectives.
Key Skills Required
- Review and endorse project deliverables.
- Managing the engineering program in the engineering manager’s absence.
- Participate and contribute to project meetings and working groups.
- Author, update and maintain project engineering planning documents (listed below) under direction from the 5B1.2A Engineering Manager and SATCOM SPO Chief Engineer.
- Assist the 5B1.2A Engineering Manager to co-ordinate and conduct engineering tasks and manage deliverables.
- The ability to acquire Technical Authority Level 4 (TA Level 4) or higher, under the Land Technical Regulatory Framework (TRAMM-L) in the SATCOM SPO Environment.
- A high level of written and oral communication skills.
- Other engineering activities as directed.
Security Clearance
Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) security clearance or higher, with the ability to access ITAR material.
