About us
Marngoneet Correctional Centre and Kareenga are medium security facilities accommodating male prisoners, located near Lara approximately 70km west of Melbourne.
About the role
As the Strategy & Performance Support Officer, you will be positioned between the two prisons and will be responsible for the provision of support to Marngoneet and Kareenga staff in all areas. In the role, you will:
- facilitate training for staff on a one-to-one basis, as well as classroom based learning
- provide support for the ongoing development of the strategy & performance applications
- maintain and update strategy & performance documentation
- assist the IT coordinator to identify staff training requirements
- provide minute taking to the Offender Management Services.
About you
As our ideal candidate, you will have:
- experience in operating computer systems including word processing, databases and operating computerised records systems
- the ability to mentor/train staff in the use of computerised systems and will have strong interpersonal skills and an ability to interact effectively with people from a variety of agencies throughout Marngoneet and Karreenga
- demonstrated ability to handle sensitive reports and data in a confidential and professional manner
- the ability to accurately record data in a multi user environment and the ability to follow documented procedures
- the ability to undertake a range of administration duties relevant to the strategy & performance tools
- well-developed written and verbal communication and time management skills.
