Our client is seeking a Planning Officer - Development and Assessment for the Gympie region. This opportunity is a 38 hour week working across five days. Remuneration of $29.29 per hour including casual loading.
Essential:
- Demonstrated ability to interpret statutory requirements
- Must have degree or post-graduate degree in planning recognised for corporate membership by the Planning Institute of Australia
- Demonstrated ability to resolve complex planning issues to achieve outcomes in the public interest
- Demonstrated experience of statutory planning or development assessment within the public or private sectors
- Knowledge of statutory requirements relevant to development assessment within Queensland
- Knowledge of the role of local government and its service functions
- High level written communication skills
- Current unrestricted Drivers Licence
- Computer literacy
Desirable:
- Previous Queensland local government experience will be highly regarded
