About the Role
Are you an organised and motivated individual? Do you have excellent administrative and customer service skills?
The Revenue Officer is responsible for ensuring that all Council Revenue is correctly recorded and accurately processed in a timely manner through the processing of receipts, receipt reversals and receipt reallocations and includes matching relevant financial transactions to the bank statements.
This is a temporary full-time position up to 12 months.
Key areas of accountability for this position include:
- Process, verify and match bank deposits made to Council's bank accounts
- Reconcile General Ledger numbers under the control of the Revenue Officer
- Provide support for all services delivered by the Revenue Accounting team
Essential Selection Criteria
- Experience in the allocation of revenue and the matching of relevant financial transactions to the bank statements
- Solid working knowledge of GST
- Knowledge and experience in the use of PC based office application software especially Microsoft applications including Word and Excel
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Desirable Selection Criteria
- Certificate IV in Business, Finance, Administration or relevant discipline
- Demonstrated skill and experience in customer service

Salary: $54,844-$63,738 per annum plus superannuation
