1 x Permanent Full Time - 35 hours, 5 days per week 

Opportunity to accrue Flexitime in line with Councils policies (up to 2 flexi days per month)

Salary$102,049.69- $111,820.35 pa + 9.5% super +  Council Leaseback Vehicle

We are seeking a person with plenty of drive and passion, and extensive experience in development assessment, to lead a team of planners in the assessment of all development applications. Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist and mentor development planners and staff in processing and assessing minor and major/complex development applications and interpreting planning issues.

 

  • Assess, appraise, process and determine various minor and major/complex development applications.

 

  • Report to the Independent Hearing and Assessment Panel and Council in response to submitted development applications and other development assessment matters.

 

  • Provide efficient, pro-active, informative and responsive service to other departments, other organisations and the community, consistent with legislation, regulations, council’s policies, objectives, vision and core values.

 

A Planning qualification at diploma or degree level with eligibility for acceptance by the Planning Institute of Australia is required.

 

Salary will be dependent upon the relevant skills, experience and competencies of the successful applicant.
