About the role

The Director, Business Improvement role manages and leads the operations of the IPC and acts on behalf of the Commissioners to represent the agency in all matters relating to business services within the Justice Cluster and with Central agencies. The position has a strategic improvement focus in ensuring systems and processes and internal governance operating across the agency deliver maximum efficiencies, as well as day-to-day operational responsibility for all business services delivered across the agency and through the shared corporate service provider. 

Drive communication strategies to deliver educational resources and engagement opportunities with all stakeholders and apply a strategic engagement framework to manage strategic relationship with key stakeholders, staff and members of Parliament to drive communication strategies and delivery educational resources and engagement opportunities.

About you

We are seeking a motivational leader who has experience in implementing business plans, achieving business outcomes and has efficient and effective customer service skills.

To be successful for this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in business planning, delivering business improvements, performance monitoring, reporting and measurement frameworks, systems and processes, in a public sector or similar environment.
  • Demonstrated track record in delivering high quality corporate services, in collaboration with a shared Corporate Services provider.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in management or related discipline and extensive management experience.
