Looking to make a positive difference in the lives of children and young people in the City of Yarra? Yarra Libraries is seeking an enthusiastic individual to lead children’s and youth programming and services for the Collingwood Library.
Children’s and Youth Services Librarians plan and deliver a diverse range of programs and services for children, youth and their families or caregivers across all five Yarra Library branches. This position will provide programming for young people between the ages of 0 – 25 with a focus on community connectedness, learning and literacy based at Collingwood Library until the end of June 2019.
To be successful in this position you will have prior experience in public libraries or a similar community setting with program planning and development experience. Your background includes developing inclusive and targeted programming for young people aged 0 – 25 and their families including those from culturally diverse backgrounds or experiencing disadvantage. The role has a customer service component which requires you to demonstrate a working knowledge of library collections and high level customer service and communication skills.
