The Role
Our Compliance Manager will develop and implement an audit strategy that ensures Yarra Valley Water not only meets its regulatory requirements, but also focusses on how this part of the business provides additional value to YVW. Through engaging with key internal and external stakeholders you will drive change through embedding the audit strategy within the business to achieve outstanding business outcomes.

As an experienced leader, you’ll motivate a high-performing team of Compliance Auditors and Coordinators to continuously improve our Compliance performance and lead a transformational change in this area. You’ll have good people management skills, a strong vision and change management skills.

You’ll have demonstrated success with interpreting legislation and regulations as well as providing advice, and will have expertise with communicating complex technical issues. The role requires you to collaborate across the business, and to deliver clear Compliance goals that align with our strategic objectives. With a strong understanding of auditing frameworks, you’ll ensure the implementation of best practice standards in risk, particularly for design.

Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have a Tertiary qualification in Business, Risk Management or a related field, post graduate qualifications are highly regarded. You will have at least 5 years’ leadership experience, and at least 5 years’ experience with interpreting legislation and regulations. With a customer centric mindset, you will be results focused, resilient, able to build relationships and influence at all levels and have a strong sense of urgency. You will also have demonstrated experience with change management strategies that maximise employee engagement.
