LO-GO Appointments is seeking a Technical Officer for a 6-month temporary assignment with a Council located in the Wide Bay Burnett region. Accommodation is provided for the full-duration of the assignment and a vehicle is supplied for work purposes.

The position:

Responsible for assisting with writing the Scope of Works and providing contract support to the Technical Services Manager relating to buildings and facilities projects. Scheduled projects include an upgrade to a sewerage treatment plant, housing upgrades, public convenience upgrades, kitchen installations, automatic door installations and disability access upgrades.

Requirements:

• Well-developed project management skills, with the ability to create detailed Scopes of Work and specifications;
• Knowledge of legislation, standards and legal requirements relating to building, facilities and maintenance activities;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including extensive contract writing experience; and
• Hold relevant qualifications and a C class Queensland Drivers Licence.
