Primary purpose of the role:
Working as part of a specialist communications team, promote the EPA’s reputation through issues management, communication planning and delivery.
 
Essential requirements
  • Experience in journalism/public affairs and/or communication planning.
  • Experience in developing and implementing communication strategies
  • Experience in working with the media, particularly key NSW print and electronic media.
  • Knowledge and appreciation of contemporary environmental and conservation issues.
To be successful in the role, ideally you will have:
A focus on stakeholder involvement in developing and implementing the communication strategies.
Demonstrable experience in the development of digital news content and a strong knowledge and experience in utilising social media channels.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in communication planning. (Relevant experience in an environmental context is helpful but not mandatory.)
Minimum 5 years working experience in a similar role
