  • Two roles are available: One ongoing permanent role and one long term temporary opportunity available (2 years), working across Gosford and Sydney. Salary range $124,965 - $144,521pa plus superannuation (Clerk grade 11/12). A talent pool will also be considered. 

The Better Regulation Division (BRD) leads to a better-performing economy, makes it easier to start and operate a business, increases the competitiveness of doing business in NSW, and improves customer satisfaction with government services.

Our PMO has been established to deliver a range of projects and programs for the Better Regulation Division that will make a real difference to services in the NSW community. The PMO will help build greater project management capability across BRD and will also play a lead role in better knowledge management practice.

The Program Manager will support the continuing design and establishment of the PMO, and will ensure contemporary risk, issues, budget, quality management and reporting frameworks are in place. The Program Manager will oversee allocated programs and projects to ensure that organisational objectives are met. They will be a high achiever and an excellent people person, who will actively engage with the business to form close working relationships and partnerships. They will challenge the norm and look for new approaches to deliver results outside of traditional PMO models.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Demonstrated practical experience leading multiple projects and programs of work across a range of business areas.
  • Have performed the role of a Program Manager or similar that is characterised by being results driven, flexible, creative and approachable.
  • Experience managing large complex transitional programs of work.
  • Drive business continuity, process improvement and training development to ensure business operation and productivity isn’t impacted.
  • Experience with implementing cultural change and influencing new ways of working 
  • Demonstrated experience in communication with program stakeholders and management of stakeholder expectations.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand the differing business practices that exist within a large organisation. 
  • Change management experience within programs of work across multiple business units and locations.
  • Have experience using Agile and Waterfall project methodologies to deliver project outcomes. 
  • Enjoy networking, establishing relationships and problem solving to ensure the PMO achieves its objectives.
