Your new position

Please note this is a project position available for 12 months.

As the Community Relations Advisor - Projects, you will use your skills and experience to develop, implement and evaluate stakeholder, customer and community engagement and communication plans for Seqwater’s natural and built asset projects and policy initiatives.  

This is an exciting time at Seqwater, as we embed our new Vision and Values. Reporting to the Team Leader Community Relations, we are looking for a Community Relations Advisor who can:

• Manage external specialists and resources to ensure effective, consistent and value-for-money engagement and communication advice and support for Seqwater projects.
• Identify and manage engagement and communication opportunities and challenges in project delivery in conjunction with internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate responses to stakeholder, customer and community enquiries to ensure accurate, timely, consistent and customer-focused communication.
• Work across the region providing specialist advice and working collaboratively with Seqwater’s business groups to support the delivery of projects and initiatives

About you

To see you succeed in this values-led organisation you will have excellent communication skills, coupled with your qualifications and extensive professional experience providing high level Communications Advice in a multi-disciplinary business. 

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in a field appropriate to the position (communications, engagement or public relations preferred).
• Project planning and management skills, including demonstrated experience in researching, consulting on, developing, implementing and evaluating effective engagement and communication plans.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Thorough knowledge and extensive experience of engagement and communication methodologies, along with the ability to explain these to others.
• Excellent written communication skills, with proven ability to prepare written content for various channels, purposes and audiences.
• Demonstrated experience briefing external providers to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet quality and financial outcomes.

This position has been graded in accordance with Seqwater's EBA as an AO6 with a salary of $97,231.33 plus up to 12.75% superannuation
