The purpose of this role is to support service excellence in delivering forest and fire management planning and risk modelling, and to contribute to a high performing culture.

The Bushfire Risk Officer will work with internal & external stakeholders to ensure the consistent, integrated and efficient delivery of forest and fire management planning services across the Forest, Fire and Regions Group.

The Bushfire Risk Officer will be an active member of the Forest and Fire Planning Team, contributing to the delivery of group and departmental priorities, and to building an inclusive and high performing workforce that is customer focussed, collaborative, professional and engaged.

You will plan and support the delivery of high quality forest and fire risk analysis services to meet business and operational objectives and priorities within the Risk Analysis team. Work with the other regional and state teams to ensure the consistent, integrated and efficient delivery of forest and fire risk analysis services across the Forest, Fire and regions Group. Undertake Phoenix Bushfire Behaviour modelling for local governments to assist them with identification "at risk" assets and priorities for risk management.

GIS and computer modelling skills; fire behavior analysis skills and experience is desirable.

This is a fixed term position available up until 30 June 2019.
