We currently have opportunities available to join our busy Document Management Services team for individuals who are highly organised with meticulous attention to detail. The role of a Document Management Officer is to be responsible for processing, maintaining, and distributing documentation and information at Council in accordance with the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009, and the State Records Act (1998) and Council Policies.
The position will involve utilising innovative electronic registration and auditing practices to enhance the functionality of our electronic document management system, Ci Anywhere.
Duties will include:
- Processing (scanning, receipting, registering, distributing) all hard copy, email, and electronic transactions and electronic mail
- Processing all other incoming plans and documentation
- Off site file and plan retrieval
- Administering public access to information
- Data entry & audit as required
The position is based at the Council Chambers, located in a beautiful park setting, close to public transport and recreational facilities.
SELECTION CRITERIA
The successful candidate will be a reliable team player with an excellent eye for detail, along with:
Essential
- Previous experience working in an electronic document, records, or information management environment
- Certificate in Records Management or related discipline (or a willingness to obtain) or demonstrated experience
- Knowledge of Privacy and Public Access principles
- Superior computer literacy with excellent keyboard proficiency
- Demonstrated high levels of written and verbal communication
- Superior time management, organisational and analytical skills
- Excellent level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent level of initiative, self-motivation and enthusiasm
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Desirable
- Experience in Local Government
- Current NSW Drivers Licence
