Immediately available position as an Electrical & Automation Engineer for a growing equipment manufacturer with a strong pipeline of work with a number of impressive clients specifically within the rail sector.
Client Details
Our client is a growing equipment manufacturer who works with a number of different businesses within the rail industry. Due to sustained growth, they are looking for an Electrical & Automation Engineer to lead and develop electrical projects for the business.
Description
Key to this role is to assist in electrical engineering research, design, manufacture, assembly and maintenance of equipment, facilities and distribution systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare drawings, plans and diagrams of electrical installations and circuitry on machine control systems, switchgear, cabling systems and motor control systems
- Develop and implement complex PLC and CNC programs for machine control
- Estimate material costs and quantities
- Inspect designs and finished products for compliance with specifications and regulations
- Electrical commissioning of equipment
Profile
Key skills include:
- Electrical schematic design and drafting software (CAD, EPLAN preferable)
- Safety circuit categorising, design and implementation
- Robot programming (ABB, Fanuc, Motoman preferable)
- PLC and HMI programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron preferable)
- SCADA programming
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering
