The role

With the recent announcement by project partners that the Hydrogen Energy Supply Chain (HESC) project will be progressing immediately into its detailed design phase, GHD are looking to recruit a Project Controls Lead into our Traralgon office.

This role supports the HESC Project Detailed Design Manager to initially manage various project control functions during the detailed design phase, progressing into a procurement and contracts management phase, which is scheduled to commence in late 2018.

As part of our Victorian Plant and Process group you will thrive on working on this high-profile project, using your demonstrated capability in planning, management and support.

Our Traralgon office is in a prime location, conveniently located only a short walk from the Traralgon Train Station. The office is a tight-knit, collaborative team and you will gain exposure to various areas of our business.

Ideally you are:

• A self-starter with a minimum of five years in a similar project controls role in the engineering, procurement or construction phases of large industrial plant projects
  
• Experience creating project schedules and tracking progress of jobs against schedule
  
• Project Cost Control experience including Earned Value Management
  
• Excellent communication skills, both internal and external stakeholders
  
• Ability to analyse and apply knowledge for project forecasting cost performance
  
• Capabilities in project reporting to schedule and costs
  
• Competent Document Controller and manager
  
• Experience working on multi-discipline projects or programs
  
• Experienced user of Microsoft Project, Excel, Word and Access
  
• Ability to develop and maintain a Primavera P6 schedule
  
• Knowledge of the local market will be highly regarded along with previous engineering and construction experience.
