Client & Engineer:


An engineering company that design industrial engineering equipment requires a Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineer.  Applicants will be time served or degree educated with at least 2 to 5 years’ experience in 3d design, new product development as well as some stakeholder / project management exposure. 

The client offers a professional and friendly team environment with state of the art 3d CAD stations, onsite parking, and permanent employment with excellent career progression. 

Liaising with the marketing teams, sales professionals you will offer engineering insights including market research, product range collaboration, testing, expert analysis and 3D conceptual designs for their new and existing product range.  You will prioritize and manage research & development, design and development activities.  The position will see you liaising with external stakeholders / clients, both here and abroad, managing their expectations, developing new ideas and creating added value to each designated project.   

Daily, your role will involve:
  • Design & project ownership
  • Management of electrical, automation systems, plastic tooling, steel fabrication designs
  • Developing existing electro-mechanical design concepts (knowledge of automation systems, gear boxes, AC motors, transmission equipment, switch-gears)
  • Driving New Product Development as you learn more about the product
  • Daily interaction with Sales, Production, Quality and Manufacturing Teams
  • Ensure new designs and developments exceed performance / quality criteria and meet AS standards
  • Participate in analysis, testing and debugging activities
  
To apply you will have: 
  • Mechatronic Degree or Mechanical Engineering and 5 years’ experience
  • TAFE and 10 years similar experience within industrial engineering
  • Knowledge of product improvement, quality improvement
  • Those with extensive knowledge in the design of pumps, motors, lite transmission equipment, small control systems will be favoured
  • A passion for electro-mechanical engineering
  • Motivated by new product development
  • An individual that wants to progress their career into management would be a good fit
  • Must be a Team Player
  • Must have excellent communication skills
