Your new company
Our client are a specialist engineering consultancy that provide engineering design and maintenance services to the road and rail sector across Australia. With long standing client relationships and a track record for achieving great results our client are well positioned to continue to grow and as such are looking for an ambitious Senior Structural Engineer on a permanent basis.
Your new role
This position will suit a Senior Structural Engineer that is keen to step into management or a candidate that already has experience leading a team that is keen to step into a diverse role with a growing business.
Working closely with the Directors of the business, your role will involve the design of new structures (bridges, culverts, overhead structures) as well as remedial or strengthening design for existing structures. As a Senior Engineer you’ll be managing a team of three Engineers and assisting with business development activities, managing existing clients, developing and improving design development processes and overseeing concept and detail design.

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have a minimum 7+ years’ consultancy experience and either be ready to step into a management position or already be an established team manager. This is a diverse role where the successful candidate will be overseeing design, leading a team and liaising with clients, as such it’s important that the you have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and are able to motivate and lead a group of Engineers.
