GHD has been appointed by Main Roads to deliver a statewide Operational Asset Management Support Service (AMSS) contract. Under this contract, GHD will provide centralised and regional support to assist Main Roads manage and maintain the State road network.
 
About the Role

• Assist in the development of delivery packages for concrete and steel bridge inspections on the road network;
• Lead the management of the delivery of concrete and steel bridge inspections on the road network delivered by external inspection teams, including contract documentation preparation, tender assessment  and contract management;
• Provide leadership to ensure that all external inspections are undertaken in accordance with required MRWA Environment and Safety systems;
• Provide logistical support for the delivery of detailed concrete and steel bridge inspections on the road network;
• Full-time, fixed term opportunity through to June 2020.

Key Criteria

• Tertiary qualification within Civil Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline;
• Comprehensive skills in Project and Contract Management;
• 3 to 8 years relevant experience;
• Awareness of Structural theory and properties of engineering materials used in bridge construction;
• Knowledge and understanding of structural drawings;
• Suitable understanding and application of policies and practices on Occupational Safety and Health;
• Possession of Senior First Aid Certification, Construction Safety Awareness White Card and Working Safely from Heights Accreditation.
