The Role
We are seeking a professional civil engineer with industry experience to join the Civil Infrastructure team in Newcastle. The initial focus of this role will be supporting an existing workload of major transport upgrades and urban infrastructure projects in NSW, as well as supporting mining, industrial and water/wastewater infrastructure projects.
The Professional role plans, manages and ensures delivery of projects (or component of) resources, budgets and timelines. Responsibilities include the preparation and presentation of proposals to clients and developing and enhancing relationships with clients, AECOM staff and suppliers.
- Work includes multi-disciplinary projects in roads / highways, mining, land development, urban renewal, water and wastewater infrastructure.
- Meeting delivery requirements from concept through to detailed design and construction.
- Assist in determining clients' needs and expectations in proposals and project plans.
- Contribute to the complete and integrated set of project documents by working co-operatively with team members.
Develop and foster client relationships through excellent project work delivery and contribute to repeat business by representing the company in a professional manner when dealing with clients, contractors and others.
About You
- Bachelor in Civil Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience in civil design and construction
- Experience and keen interest in transport infrastructure and urban development
- Experience in consulting engineering or similar local/state government role.
