About The Company
This business specialises in the creation and production of temporary, semi-permanent and permanent retail displays.
From counter stands to complex retail fitouts, they work collaboratively with their customers to fully understand their desired objective, then designs, tests, produces, delivers and installs in-store.
About The Role
We are looking for a contract Project Manager to join our Design & Projects team for a minimum period of 3 months. As always with this business, there is always a major potential for this to be extended, or turn into a full time permanent role.
Being part of a small but dedicated team, the Project Manager would be responsible for the undertaking and running of projects, from conception stages and taking them through to production and beyond.
Problem solving is at the core of day to day responsibilities, as is strategic thinking and the relational skills required to work with many different stakeholders (clients, suppliers & internal staff) to achieve the best client focussed result.
Duties
- Collaborating with designers at the conceptual stages, checking drawings if required / discussing materials, manufacturing techniques etc
- Liaising with suppliers both local and offshore throughout projects.
- QC'ing prototypes & mass production for local and / or offshore jobs
- Keeping account managers & clients up to date with job progress / delivery timings.
- Arranging quotes, sourcing suppliers / materials
- Arranging & coordinating installation / maintenance schedules
- Monitoring shipping / freight with freight forwarders
- Forward planning labour for kitting requirements for jobs
Skills & Experience
- Excellent time management.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail & communication skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments & keep a cool head!
- Maintain good working relationships amongst all stakeholders internally & externally
- Ability to interpret and talk through engineering drawings with designers & suppliers
- 3+ years’ experience in POS/Retail industry would be ideal, with experience in temp / perm displays
- Strong knowledge in various forms of manufacturing materials and processes would also be ideal
